The power of Vision Board

Since always in my life I had a dream to work in the entertainment industry, I just didn't know what it would be. So I started university, graduated in Radio, TV and Internet, and started to work in a TV station in Brazil, but now my dream is bigger and to be part of iconic TV shows, movies, or series, it is crucial to me to have a clear vision about this Hollywood world. 

That is why I use the vision board, an effective tool that has been instrumental in shaping my path towards becoming an integral part of the industry. Here I'm gonna show what a vision board is, how to create one, and why it is really helpful on my journey.

For those who don’t know what a vision board is, it is a visual representation of one’s goals, dreams, and aspirations. You can use this for every section in your life, but now we are talking just about our dream career. It is like a tangible collection of pictures, positive statements, and quotes that always remind us of what we want to achieve. You can think about it as a tool that is something dynamic and can bring my professional goals to life, giving a clear and bright vision of where I intend myself in the world of television.

A vision board is something that everybody can do and should do. At first, you just need your materials, you can take magazines, quotes, internet pictures, anything that you want and it is related with your career aspirations. Use your imagination, all the pictures can include your favorite work, successful professionals and even elements, emotions, moments or places that you hope to convey through your work.

Before you start to put all the pictures on your board, take a moment to reflect on your specific goals. What roles do you imagine yourself in? What impact do you hope to have on the public? It is good to have a clear understanding of your objectives, this can change a lot of how you are gonna structure your vision board. Try to have the best guide of your choices.

After thinking a lot (yes, it is not that easy), now starts the fun part. Do your vision board the way it feels meaningful to you, Trust your instincts and let your creativity flow, have people that prefer something more organic, others digital, a mind map or very structured. All of this is right.

A vision board is a very potent manifestation tool, so having yourself constantly immersed in the pictures and quotes, this way you are actively manifesting your dreams into reality. Obviously, you have to be dedicating yourself in these dreams, the board is your daily reminder of what you are working towards.

The board helps us to maintain the focus and the motivation. It is easy to lose motivation, we always have a lot of people or problems in our way, so it is in this moment that the vision board acts as an anchor, you are gonna face challenges, but your focus will still be your goals.

Confidence and affirmations are much more powerful than we imagine. If you see your goals as something tangible, give you confidence, and believing in your abilities can remind you that you can do everything that you want. Never doubt yourself, look at your vision board and affirm that you can do it.

On my journey to be someone important in the entertainment industry, my vision board is extremely important to me.
